My two dogs together poop up to six times a day. That’s a lot of poop. So, late last night as I was taking the dogs out for their fourth walk of the day, it occurred to me that there should be a way to put doggy poop to some good use.
The idea I came up with was a “canine hand warmer” — a heavy-duty plastic bag made with thermally-activated technology. After your dog does its business, the heat from the poop triggers the sensors in the bag to act as a warming device. The heat would last long enough for you to finish your walk. The bag would be a perfect accessory for those cold days in winter when you want some warmth in your pocket.

Well, it’s an elegant idea in the mathematical sense: the solution requiring the fewest steps. Still, I hope you’ll keep trying to think up other uses.
